Itinerary

We will collect you from your hotel with our private car to start our adventure. We will stop at the village of Kiswar Cancha (3,580 m. or 11,814 feet) which takes its names after a local plant which was considered sacred during the Inca period. Here we will start our horse-back ride up the Mama Simona mountain (4,342m/14,328 ft.). We will be able to observe the Andean people’s harvest and at the top of the mountain we will participate in an offering ceremony to please the Pacha Mama (Mother Earth).

From the top of the mountain we will have a great view of the city of Cusco, and mountains and glaciers which were very important during the Inca times. After lunch we will continue our trek along a path until reaching a sandstone area called Ccorca, very important because it’s the site of the first human settlements of the region (2000 years B.C.). This is also known as the fish route as originally this route would take you to the Pacific Ocean or the West Region (Contisuyu). Here we will enjoy ancient cave paintings and a beautiful sandstone waterfall. Our journey will continue to Cusco city.
