This Tour 04 Days Inca Jungle Trail to Machu Picchu is aimed at all those who are ready and willing to overflow adrenaline during the whole trip to Machu Picchu, an incredible combination of hiking and extreme sports, joining activities such as mountain biking, zip lines, rafting and impressive rivers, including family lodges in the jungle, and finally to reach the mysterious and impressive ruins of Machu Picchu.
Day 1: biking,Rafting.
After picking up guests from their hotels at 6:00 am with our private van, we will start our journey towards the Malaga mountain pass (4,314 m/14,236 ft.) where our bike will start. Bike Malaga – Alfamayo –Huamanmarka.
Biking 3 hours approximately distance (60 km – 37.5 miles)
Day 2: Different activities.
After waking up at 5:30 am we will have breakfast at 6 am and includes a very tasty local coffee. We will then go to hike, zip line and hot spring.
Hiking 4 hours approximately distance (08km – 5 miles).
Day 3: Llactapata.
Coffee tour in the area and a nice hike to the top from there we will enjoy one of the most spectacular views of Machupicchu. Hike Lucmabamba, Llactapata, Hidroelectrica and Aguas Calientes.
Hiking 10 hours approximately distance (20 km – 13 miles).
Day 4: Machupicchu.
For our last day we will have to catch a very early bus at 5:30 am to reach the Machupicchu archaeological site (30 minutes by bus). The site opens at 6:00 am and we will firstly head towards the “guardian house” which is the perfect spot for “postcard” pictures and some of the best views. In the afternoon return by train and car to Cusco.

Extra money to buy extra drinks or snacks has to be in Peruvian soles.
- We recommend our hikers to arrive in Cusco 2 or 3 days before their trek. This will allow you to acclimatize to the height so as not to have problems in the walk.
- In Cusco we have only one main airport, most flights arrive from Lima to Cusco, which is the most recommended and easiest for our tourists.
- The trip from Lima to Cusco by bus is quite long approximately 22 hours and it is not recommended that you travel directly to Cusco. If you want to do it, we recommend that you do it by sections Lima – Nazca – Arequipa – Puno and Cusco.
- In Cusco we have many hotels located throughout the city of Cusco. If you need help booking a hotel or would like some recommendations on where to stay, do not hesitate to contact us.
- Arriving in Cusco you have extra days before or after your walk. We are happy to help you organize some more important tours as there are tourists who want to spend more days in the imperial city of the Incas.
- We offer free pick up and transfer from the airport to your hotel in Cusco. We do this in order that you don’t have to worry about anything. Let us know in advance the airline company, the schedule and flight number that arrives in Cusco.
- Near the weather, Cusco is located at 3,350 m or 11,050 ft. which makes the weather very difficult to predict. In Cusco, we have two seasons; the rainy season, which runs from November to March, and the dry season, from April to October. We recommend the dry season that is from April to October. But for some tourists the stations don’t matter and they plan their tour according to the time they have and it is possible to organize some tours according to the weather.
- At near altitude sickness or soroche, Cusco is located at 3,350 m or 11,050 ft. Therefore, the air is short, dry and difficult to breathe for which it is recommended to arrive in Cusco 2 or 3 days in advance of the tour

Itinerary
After picking up guests from their hotels at 6:00 am with our private bus, we will start our journey towards the Magala mountain pass (4,314 m/14,236 ft.) where our bike will start. The journey to get to the pass takes about 3 hours by van and on the way we will go through a section of the Inka Sacred Valley, where we will have some strategic stops to take pictures and get some insights. The bike trek starts at the Malaga mountain pass. It goes through a tarmac road which is all downhill. Here you will be able to appreciate the changing landscape from Andean mountains to the High Forests with a variety of flora and fauna. The lasts about 3 hours including a visit to the Huamanmarca archaeological site. After the bike trek we will continue our journey by private bus to the village of Santa Maria (1200 m /3,960 ft.) where a delicious lunch and homestay accommodation await us. The afternoon will be filled with adrenaline, as we will be rafting on the Urubamba river. (also known as Vilcanota), which flows into the Amazon. The rafting trip lasts about 2 hours and consists of rapids that are graded between II and III class. In the evening we will have dinner.

We will then go by bus from Santa Maria to Santa Rosa (15 minutes), where we will start our 4-hour walk. This spectacular section of Inca trail is between one and two meters wide, and runs next to a 300-meter cliff drop, but don’t worry, it is safe! Here we will appreciate a variety of local plants and fruit including the sacred Inca leaves (coca leaves), organic coffee, bananas, avocados, papaya, yucca or jungle potatoes etc. After our walk we will catch our private car to reach Santa Teresa (40 minutes) where we will have lunch and spend the night. Here we will enjoy another adrenaline-filled afternoon with a zip line activity in a very beautiful area which will last about 3 hours. After this activity we will have time to visit the Cocalmayo hot springs which are incredibly beautiful and relaxing. Finally, in the evening we will have dinner.

Wake up time is at 5:30 am and breakfast at 6 am, after which we will get on our private bus to reach the Lucmabamba village. Here we will start our walk along another beautiful Inca trail which was accidentally discovered by locals in 1998. Throughout the trail we will be able to observe a great variety of local plants and birds as well as enjoy spectacular views. After a 3-hour climb we will reach Llactapata, another Inca archaeological site where we will enjoy one of the best views of Machu Picchu and where we will have lunch in a scenic spot. After walking downhill for 2 hours we will reach the Aobamba River, along which we will continue our walk for 1 hour (very easy) until Hidroelectrica. From there we will to hike until Aguas Calientes village. Here we will stay in a hotel and we will have our last dinner.

We will then start our guided tour, which will last approximately 2 hours, where we will visit the most important sites. After the tour you will have time to visit Machu Picchu on your own. You also have the option to climb the Huaynapicchu or Montaña Machupicchu mountains (these have to be reserved in advance). In the afternoon we will get on the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo and from there we will provide private transport to your hotel in Cusco.
