Welcome to the Classic Inca Trail, the most famous and most spectacular hiking route in This ancient 45 kilometer or 26 miles Inca trail follows the footsteps of the Inca pilgrims to the gates of the sacred city of Machu Picchu, one the new 7 wonders of the world.
Our exciting itinerary offers 5 days of trekking. will give you a chance to enjoy more of the scenery, Inca sites, flora and fauna as the hiking distances on this Machu Picchu trek by Inca trail 5 days are shorter than the classic Inca trail 4 days. Along the original Inca pathways, passing a spectacular array of Inca ruins along the way. The trail is located high in the Peruvian Andes climbing gradually from the valley floor (2,700m / 8,856 ft.) to the most spectacular mountain passes (as high as 4,215m / 13,825ft). At every turn, the surrounding scenery will take your breath away!
Hiking the 4day Inca Trail is a strenuous and awe-inspiring adventure. For four days we will push ourselves to our physical limits, resting each night under the spectacular Andean night sky. But on our final day, any feelings of pain and exhaustion simply disappear as the mist lifts to reveal the emerald peaks and terraced ruins of the mystical ancient city.
Day 1: easy.
Pick up from the hotel in Cusco in Our private transport that will take us to Km 82 of the Inca Trail, where we will begin our unique adventure, we will pass through these Inca places. Hike Miskay – Patallacta and Huayllabamba.
Hiking 7 hours approximately distance (10 km – 6.25 miles)
Day 2: challenge.
Start our intensive but not impossible hike from Huayllabamba to the top of Warmihuañuska (“dead woman”) from where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the mountains and glaciers being there is the only experience. Hike Huayllabamba – Llulluchapamapa – Warmihuañusca and Pacaymayo.
Hiking 8 hours approximately distance (12 km – 7.5 miles).
Day 3: Inca sites and history.
Hard and impressive day the best of the Inca trail and its Inca constructions such as: Hike runkuracay – sayacmarka – Phuyupatamarka and Phuyupatamarka.
Hiking 8 hours approximately distance (10 km – 6.25 miles).
Day 4: Intipunku or sun gate.
Stunning and hard steps day. with tired body and legs, but eager to see Machupiccchu from the sun gate. from where we will enjoy a spectacular view one of the 07 wonders of the world Machupiccchu. Hike Phuyupatamarca – Wiñayhuayna – Intipunku – Machupiccchu.
Hiking 08 hours approximately distance (12 km – 7.5 miles).
Day 5: Machupicchu.
or our last day we will have to catch a very early bus at 5:30 am to reach the Machupicchu. The site opens at 6:00 am and we will head towards the “guardian house” which is the perfect spot for “postcard” pictures and some of the best views.

- We recommend our hikers to arrive in Cusco 2 or 3 days before their trek. This will allow you to acclimatize to the height so as not to have problems in the walk.
- In Cusco we have only one main airport, most flights arrive from Lima to Cusco, which is the most recommended and easiest for our tourists.
- The trip from Lima to Cusco by bus is quite long approximately 22 hours and it is not recommended that you travel directly to Cusco. If you want to do it, we recommend that you do it by sections Lima – Nazca – Arequipa – Puno and Cusco.
- In Cusco we have many hotels located throughout the city of Cusco. If you need help booking a hotel or would like some recommendations on where to stay, do not hesitate to contact us.
- Arriving in Cusco you have extra days before or after your walk. We are happy to help you organize some more important tours as there are tourists who want to spend more days in the imperial city of the Incas.
- We offer free pick up and transfer from the airport to your hotel in Cusco. We do this in order that you don’t have to worry about anything. Let us know in advance the airline company, the schedule and flight number that arrives in Cusco.
- Near the weather, Cusco is located at 3,350 m or 11,050 ft. which makes the weather very difficult to predict. In Cusco, we have two seasons; the rainy season, which runs from November to March, and the dry season, from April to October. We recommend the dry season that is from April to October. But for some tourists the stations don’t matter and they plan their tour according to the time they have and it is possible to organize some tours according to the weather.
- At near altitude sickness or soroche, Cusco is located at 3,350 m or 11,050 ft. Therefore, the air is short, dry and difficult to breathe for which it is recommended to arrive in Cusco 2 or 3 days in advance of the tour

Itinerary
Hotel pick up at 5:30 am in Cusco (3,350 m / 11,055ft.) Our private transport to will take us to the Km 82 of the Inca trail, where we will start our walk. Here we will be able to observe the Vilcabamba mountain range and its majestic glacier Veronica (5,800 m /19,140ft.) as well as the sacred river of the Inca Urubamba. After visiting some historical sites, we will have lunch on the mountainside, and after a brief “siesta” we will start to walk again until the first campsite Huayllabamba (3,000 m /9,900ft.)where we will have dinner.

At 5:30 am we will have our wake-up tea (coca tea) to start our intensive trek from Huayllabamba towards the peak of Warmihuañuska (“dead woman”) located at (4,200 m/13,860ft.) The walk takes about 6 hours and along the way we will be able to appreciate the beautiful and changing landscape. After a delicious lunch in Llulluchapampa (3,800 m/12,540ft.) we will continue our walk-through beautiful views of mountains and valleys. Finally, we will descend to our second campsite called Pacaymayo (3,600 m /11,880ft.) where we will have dinner and we will recharge our batteries for the day to come.

In the morning, after a nutritious breakfast accompanied by coca tea, we will start our walk from Pacaymayo to one of the most beautiful sections of the Inca Trail. During this 2-hour walk we enjoy many spectacular views and appreciate the changing climate from the “Puna” grassland to the cloud forest (jungle), and we will also have the opportunity to observe the spectacular Salkantay (the second-highest, snow-capped peak of the region) and the Vilcabamba mountain range. Towards the end of a group of Inca houses we will start our climb to the last peak Phuyupatamarca (3600 m/11,880 ft.) From here we will have our first glimpse of Machu Picchu mountain.
our third campsite considered the most scenic campsite on the Inca Trail 5 days. The afternoon is for relaxation time, enjoy the tea time and dinner.

Once again after enjoying breakfast we will start walking down to Wiñayhuayna (“Always Young”) after a 3-hour walk along steps.
On our way down we will visit Intipata (Sun Terraces) and Wiñayhuayna. In the afternoon we will have lunch. we will continue walking to the sun gate from where we will have our first view of Machu Picchu. we’ll take our time to take great pictures of the Inca city, as the afternoon is usually with fewer people.
We’ll then take the bus to Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes town) where we’ll stay at the hotel, and have dinner.

For our last day we will have to catch a very early bus at 5:30 am to reach the Machupiccchu archeological site (it takes 30 minutes by bus). The site opens at 6:00 am and we will head towards the “guardian house” which is the perfect spot for “postcard” pictures and some of the best views. We will then start our guided tour, which will last approximately 2 hours, where we will visit the most important sites. After the tour you will have time to visit Machu Picchu on your own. You also have the option to climb the Huayna Picchu or Montaña Machupiccchu mountains (these have to be reserved in advance). In the afternoon we will get on the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo and from there we will provide you with private transport to your hotel in Cusco.
